Sunday, March 31 12:30 – 7:30PM.

What if I told you that a common packaging material you may already obtain on your grocery run makes for one of the most versatile printmaking substrates of all time?! Though the TetraPak’s controversial design will place most in landfills after a single use storing liquids like broth and milk, the container itself has become coveted by eco-centric artists worldwide because it’s lining contains a unique layering of materials that make an exquisite composite to render for printed artwork. TetraPak prints embody the characteristics of several printmaking mediums in one. They offer a rich quality of line, deep solid values, and an incredible amount of room for play. Please join me as I share various techniques I’ve established in my own practice, then tap into your own sensibilities with the chance to try your own hand at unlocking the treasure of this glorious reclaimed trash! $100- materials included

Colorado native, Erin Jones, is a local painter, printmaker, and Art Gym Member. She studied art through local mentorship opportunities in her early career and internationally through the Aegean Center for the Fine Arts in Italy and Greece. Erin is passionate about accessibility in the arts, community-building, and demystifying the societal barrier of entry into a creative life. She proudly draws inspiration by attuning herself to honest, sometimes very simple moments of value in her days. Her curious, intuitive approach to her practice keeps her studio fresh and thriving.
