Creating art to heal, the introspective and eerily captivating exhibition Shadows is dedicated to the loss of a loved one. Chicago-based visual artist Bryn Gleason created the pieces as a therapeutic process for accepting the death of a dear friend, with the hope that they are now at peace. This tribute is not meant to torment but to speak to the enduring presence of those we love, even after they are gone. “I want people to feel the heaviness and sadness in the pieces, but in a calm and peaceful way.” Both haunting and beautiful, calm and tragic, Shadows invites viewers to explore the delicate balance between grief and serenity.
