“Phantom Potpourri” explores life’s ordinary matter, drawing inspiration from discarded fragments and domestic scenes. Exhibiting together for the first time, Paloma Jimenez and Genevieve Waller present a shared vision of nostalgia and imaginative un-realism. Waller’s colorful sponge tapestries and Jimenez’s ceramic vignettes reimagine recognizable and commonplace objects, infusing them with art historical references and poetic contemplation. Creating a blend of work that is both playful and profound, with feminist and queer theories informing their material curiosity, the artists offer viewers a unique and thought-provoking reflection of the world.
