March 12 | 6-9PM | Free!
Giving critiques and getting critiques is part of the process that brings the community of artists together. So, whether you bring your art or view someone else’s, join the discussion and learn from each other during this free public event. The monthly informal critiques welcome moderators from the Denver art community alongside Art Gym staff while guests enjoy the provided snacks and drinks. Critique sessions are limited to ten people showing work, so sign up today and join us on Wednesday, March 12, from 6-9PM with guest moderator, Artist and Educator Carol Golemboski.
Golemboski received an MFA in Photography from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1999 and an MA in Art from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1996. She has been the recipient of grants and fellowships from Center in Santa Fe, the New York Foundation for the Arts, the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Light Work, and the Saltonstall Foundation. Her interactive artist’s book Psychometry was selected as one of the twelve Outstanding Books of the Year in 2013 by the Independent Publisher Book Awards. A monograph of the same name was published by Flash Powder Projects in 2016. Her photographs can be found in the collections of the George Eastman Museum, the Denver Art Museum, and the Museum of Fine Arts Houston. She is a Professor of Photography at the University of Colorado Denver.
